APM Terminals names Custom Air Trucking (CAT) to the Orange Club in recognition of their solid performance. The Orange Club was created by APMT to reward trucking companies that complete a minimum of 90% of their weekly import appointments.
As a member of the APM Terminals Orange Club, Custom Air Trucking enjoys priority responses for problem resolution, the ability to request appointment exemptions for container pickups in the event of special circumstances such as late customer clearances, and the ability to also request extended on-dock free time when issues arise involving routine appointment availability limitations or unforeseen customer delays. Custom Air Trucking is also given priority consideration for special requests from the marine terminal for other issues that may arise during the course of normal dray operations.
These privileges help Custom Air Trucking to better serve customers during heavy peak volumes and when unforeseen delays or issues arise that would otherwise cause a lengthy delay, or even a missed import delivery.
