Recently, we had the opportunity to demonstrate the power of this tailored approach in a bulk storage reconfiguration project for one of our strategic partners. The results weren’t just impressive—they were transformational.
Our client was operating with a warehouse layout that, while functional, was falling short in terms of space efficiency and inventory accessibility. Their existing configuration imposed constraints on pallet capacity and made it difficult for team members to efficiently access stored inventory. These limitations were beginning to affect both productivity and cost-effectiveness.
After a detailed assessment, our team identified opportunities to dramatically improve both storage density and operational flow—without requiring additional square footage or compromising safety.
The solution began with a fundamental redesign of the warehouse layout. Key adjustments included:
By reconfiguring the bulk storage layout, we were able to increase pallet depth from 8 to 12 positions. This allowed the client to store significantly more product in the same footprint.
Even with the added depth, we ensured that stack height remained consistent, preserving safety and accessibility while boosting overall capacity.
Pallets were strategically repositioned to eliminate common access issues, improving the flow of inventory and making it easier for team members to retrieve and manage goods quickly and safely.
